It's been a while!

Wow, it's been way too long since I've posted anything!! There has been so much that has happened. First of all, let me just start by sharing my latest adventure. I am a cowboy action shooter, have been for a while now. I shot my second national championship for Cowboy Action this year and my first for Wild Bunch Action Shooting. I placed very well. I took 3rd place in Lady's Frontier Cartridge in Cowboy and I took 2nd in Lady Modern in Wild Bunch. I was so close to winning it all! Which, on the other hand, my Honey did! He won Wild Bunch overall this year! I couldn't be more proud! He is my world and I have a blast shooting with him!

I am just so modest that I don't like talking about how well I did. Honey keeps letting me know how well I did and tells me that I can win this over all! I just blush and brush it off like it's no big deal. I am so afraid that it will all go to my head and that it will hurt my performance. I am not a competitive person. I never have been. I always like to make others around me feel like they are better. I like to please everyone around me. Well, this past week, I pleased myself! I did amazing and I just had to share!!!! For someone who didn't like shooting Wild Bunch a little over a year and a half ago, I sure am doing very well!! I can't wait to shoot it in the World Championship in June!!

I am involved with an international art exchange sponsored by Women & Creativity (www.womenandcreativity.org). This is the second year that I have participated and it is amazingly fun! Basically what happens is you are sent 10 small cards on which you do what ever you want: art, poetry, etc... Then you send them back and once all of the participants have returned their cards, they are mixed up and 10 cards from other artists are sent to you. So, in exchange for your 10 cards, you receive a card from 10 different people. This year, I decided to do ink designs on my cards. With a retro-feel, these cards were inspired by a pen and ink artist that I follow in Tumbler. Also, Women & Creativity did something a little different this year. They had a deadline to return your cards and if you made it before this deadline, they would choose a card or two to display in two different pop-up art shows in Albuquerque, NM. It's a new year so I think it's time for a new beginning.  As part of my new years resolution, I've decided to start a blog about my life.  I'll post about school, crafts, and whatever else pops up into my life this year.  I don't have much to say now, but as I get a hang of blogging and get used to blogger, I'm sure you'll hear more from me. Finished with Project 1 So in my studio architecture class we just completed our first project. We had to design a small house for 2 people. It was pretty fun. I was kind of like a start up project so the teacher could see where we all stand and so we could see how he works. These are my final boards and my final model. I did everything by hand. We had the choice of doing our boards digitally but my style is all by hand.  This past Monday we got our new project that we will be working on for the rest of the semester. We have to design a small theater on a certain location on our campus. It's a pretty interesting project. I just see myself getting really overwhelmed with it though. There are a lot of specifications that we are required to have for the building and we have to go along with the city code.
